StarGames’ returning partner on the 2009 Showdown is former World #1, Ivan Lendl. Ivan made his debut in the sports promotion industry with last year’s NetJets Showdown. The three time US Open winner has become active again on the tennis scene after spending years honing his golf game. Ivan currently is seen on The Tennis Channel and is endorsing companies including adidas/TaylorMade, Trion:Z and Topricin.

Throughout the years since his retirement from tennis in 1994, Ivan has successfully worked with a cross section of companies such as Lexus, adidas, Taylor Made, American Express, JP Morgan, Hertz and Ginn Resorts by participating in a broad range of activities including motivational speeches, media functions, meet and greets, and autograph sessions. Ivan has also made numerous charitable appearances in addition to hosting and participating in his annual golf outing which raises money for the Wheelchair Tennis Camp in Hartford, CT that he co-founded in 1989.

Ivan can regularly be seen on the Tennis Channel where he provides valuable insight on a host of hot topics within the sport and, in March 2008, Ivan made his debut in the sports promotion industry as StarGames’ partner in the sold-out NetJets Showdown at Madison Square Garden.

Off the court, Ivan is an avid and proficient golfer. A four-time champion of the Celebrity Players Tour, he now devotes his time to his five daughters and their promising sports careers.
